Experience the sun set and the views across the Alps by full moon on the Zugspitze.

Sonnenuntergang On full moon nights one feels even closer to the moon and the stars and an evening on the mountain will be an unforgettable experience. The Tiroler Zugspitzbahn will transport guests effortlessly up the mountain to enjoy this special event. Romantics and nature lovers alike will enjoy watching the sun go down. The shadows on the mountains get bigger and the valleys below disappear into the early evening mist until all that can be seen are the mountain peaks against the backdrop of the sun set.

The rising moon and the panoramic views of a full moon, when the surrounding mountains are bathed in a blu-ish hue, are a spectacular sight especially at an altitude of 3000m.

Cable car times:
The Tiroler Zugspitzbahn in Ehrwald will run as shown in the time table above from 8.40am daily at 20 minute intervals.
